A prospective job uses this system and I'd like to start doing some digging into what I can get a head start on. Will I have a hard time learning how to use it? I use online applications pretty regularly with my current job and I'm a quick learner. Just curious how technically knowledgeable I need to be.

TIA

I assume you are talking about Suretrack/P3/P6 (Primavera makes other software too). You have to understand the fundamentals of CPM scheduling before you can really understand how to use it, but one you do you can probably self teach on youtube videos.

It's not like Word where you can just open it and start using it without knowing anything.

It can be easy to extremely complex. Really depends on the scope of the project.

Oh ok. Well I currently use scheduling software and there is some CPM aspects to it. I just wasn't sure if you had to know programming of any sort or something like that. If it's just a new program to learn that's not difficult.

It's not difficult if you are familiar with something like Microsoft project. Most basic stuff is easier than project but p6 has a lot more bells and whistles

If you don't mind torrents, you can find a couple of PDF manuals online that walk you through all of the features and how to use them.
