As cool a person and personality as Ryan Clark was when he was a player at LSU, I don't think anyone projected him to have anywhere near the NFL career he had. In fact I doubt many thought he was NFL caliber at all.
Good for him.

Had no idea he would last that long in the league but when you get into a system like Pittsburgh he found his niche, sometimes it's more about fit than anything else.
Kind of like Devery as a WR, he flourished in NO with Brees but would not have been as effective somewhere else.

I'll never forget that when his family got into it with Josh and Abram Booty's family in the stands during a game we lost.
Man, Ryan was jabbering about 100 miles an hour post game.

“He helped show me how to read the play clock,” Meriweather said. “When you get to so many seconds left, they can’t audible. It’s those little things that I never really thought about that Ryan brought to the game.”
This guy serious
