The New Orleans Saints don't feel like a team that is in the thick of a division race, and they aren't acting like one, either.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Saints head coach Sean Payton is starting to audit the underachieving roster following a 41-10 home loss to the Carolina Panthers that dropped the Saints to 5-8.

The first domino has fallen. The team waived wide receiver Joe Morgan, per multiple reports.

Wow. Sounds very tense in New Orleans today. More than 10 players called individually into #Saints coach Sean Payton’s office for review

NFC South trash talk is so last year, breh. We are all sucking dicks in an alley right now; there's no use in debating who is sucking dick the best.

Trying to rule with an iron fist like this in the NFL has a tendency to backfire more often than it works.

We'll see if it motivates them or if the team just quits the rest of the way.

Panther fans are hanging their hat on that win but completely ignore the fact that the same team kicked their arse at home a month earlier.

Ok? We had just blown out Green Bay and won on the road with a short week in the division.

That Saints team isn't the same as the current one. That was many injuries ago.

What else to do at this point? And it doesn't really matter whether or not he calls them into his office or not - there is going to be turnover on the roster with how the team has massively under-performed.

I think you can argue he's at least telling them one on one where their career is headed instead of saying nothing and then just waving goodbye.

Must be pretty good, he has a losing record against Carolina, 8-10
