One of if not my favorite films of last year. I know it's not for everyone. What did you think of it?

Oscar Isaac is a great actor. Loved him in Driver. I'm sure the board is split 50/50 on that movie, but I loved it. I think he's in the new Star Wars and he's the new Apocalypse in X-Men, no?

I didn't know who Oscar Issac was until this movie.. I was disappointed when the Coens announced him as their lead.. but yeah, he nailed it.

Inside Llewyn Davis & Nebraska were my favorite films from 2013. Looking forward to Isaac in A Most Violent Year.

I usually like Coen Brothers films, but oh man I thought this movie was a waste of time. I couldn't believe it was over when it ended.
What did you like about it?
The sad sack main character?
The soulless girlfriend?
The dreary setting and lack of memorable scenes?
Timberlake in a turtle neck?

Bored to tears by this one and I love the Coens.
There were a couple of nice songs. Just not much else.

Haven't seen the movie yet but the soundtrack was great.

Are you kidding me?
Great movie.

One of our favorite movies of last year. Music and performances were amazing. I don't care that it had an unlikable lead. Just a great look into that world.
Saw it and Nebraska back to back in the theater. Possibly our best night at the movies ever.

What did you like about it?
Well, because it gets into a lot of the themes the Coens have worked with their entire careers. I consider this a spiritual sequel to Barton Fink, but at least Llewyn doesn't lop of anyone's head. But I liked how the movie started with the scene in the alley, starts off without telling you, and leads up to the same scene, so you see it in a new perspective. Also, you can hear Bob Dylan singing in the background, so the folk scene is about to explode, and leave him behind due to his own self-destructive behavior.
The sad sack main character?
He's a man not nearly as talented as he thinks he is, much like Barton Fink. He thinks he is being true to his art by being so uncompromising, when he's really just an a-hole. He probably SHOULD compromise (he also gives up all royalties on a hit record... a terrible hit record, but a hit nonetheless).
The soulless girlfriend?
Well, she's not his girlfriend. She's his friend's girlfriend, and they had an affair, and now she wants him to pay for an abortion. But that's not the important part, it's that he finds out he has a son from another relationship he didn't know about. This is his legacy.
The dreary setting and lack of memorable scenes?
I loved the setting, and I'm not sure how you can call John Goodman's heroin scenes unmemorable. As well as Davis blowing up at the dinner party.
Timberlake in a turtle neck?
He is dreamy.

Other than "Timberlake in a turtle neck", that's what the music industry is when you're hacking the low level bar scene. Llewyn Davis could be one of the thousands of guys out there chasing a dream they'll never see.
