Man you brought back some vivid memories from my hs days! Sorry about the boots. It really is a shitty world we live in these days...
and this proves my point.

It is truly a sad day when a man loses property to a thief. It shows how much America has changed, and not in a good way, when a man has less rights to his property than a thief does.
Thanks for the memories too Martini....I may be a little younger than you but I too remember days like that. I also remember being able to get on that CB, Channel 10 in Lake Charles area...and ask for help..and there would be no less than 5 guys show up for whatever I needed help with. This was just back in the early 90s. Hopefully that part of humanity never changes.

Hell of a long story over some stolen boots. Pretty dumb to leave them out unsecured knowing ALL that Martini knows day in and day out.

Solid post. Chitty ending.
Accurate.
Of course not, horrible faux paux. Gotta wait till the bunny comes hoppin around.

I can stick my white shrimp boots back there but I normally don't wear them after Labor Day.

I've never read a book that long

Ah, the memories. Not all of them applied to me, but enough to make it a good read.
No place in my world for a thief.

Of course after reading some of the trespassing threads on here you were parked in a public parking lot so therefore your stuff shouldn't have been yours anyway and you likeley should have found the thief and given him the keys to your truck too.....
Otherwise good post I miss rear window gun racks. I don't miss 15' whip antennas though I always hated them! Also don't miss carrying a come along shovel and post hole digger and saying I can get out of anything and I normally could!

That's a long story.

I lost a pair of Lacrosse in the same way back in day. Trucks were parked outside the Derrick, a whites only drinking extablishment in downtown Rayvegas. The young brothas waited till us honkies got good and tanked inside then raided the parking lot. All I lost was my boots. A buddy lost an 8pt and a doe. Good times

Yes but you did not garner sympathy because you didn't mention buying your mom a gift.

I wonder why a woman would steal some old size 6 hunting boots. Strange.

I could not come up with a reason I would be there
