i use a seed sock and a Finch feeder designed just for Finches.

The River Birches behind the office are loaded with them right now.

I use to put out a sock filled with thistle for them in winter. Now they devour the black sunflower seeds in flocks. They have left my back yard now for the summer and typically return when it gets bitter cold in late Jan, early Feb.

they were thick at my house for the past two weeks and now they are gone...

Alx Do they eat holly berries?

they picked one of my trees clean and crapped them everywhere.

I do not think so. My best guess on what did that is Cedar Waxwings which are similar in size.

Been meaning to find this thread. A couple of days ago I looked out and half the nyger seed was gone. Looked out yesterday and it was covered in birds.
