I use to put out a sock filled with thistle for them in winter. Now they devour the black sunflower seeds in flocks. They have left my back yard now for the summer and typically return when it gets bitter cold in late Jan, early Feb.

Alx Do they eat holly berries?
they picked one of my trees clean and crapped them everywhere.

Been meaning to find this thread. A couple of days ago I looked out and half the nyger seed was gone. Looked out yesterday and it was covered in birds.
