It'll be the first time Kentucky has hosted UCLA in Lexington since 1961. It'll be the first time they've ever hosted them in Rupp.

Outside of the John Wooden Classic in Anaheim this may also be the first time UCLA has hosted UK since 1959.

Figured some UCLA folks might be interested.

The champions classic games have really been fun matchups to watch. And with the SEC you really have to beef up your OOC obviously.

I was really surprised that they haven't played more often outside of the tournament though. I think they've only matched up 10 times total.

Exactly why Cal is playing this series…to dip further into the west coast talent and to stump Zona from getting them.
