If you have the pics saved to a computer just go to tiny pic.com and click the "choose file" button. When you do that it will prompt you to choose the file from wherever you have it saved on your computer (my documents, my pictures, desktop, etc). Pick it and click "upload".

Once it's uploaded you'll see several link options under the picture. One of them will be for message boards/forums. Right click on this one and hit copy. Come back to TD and click the Post Reply button. Then pick the img button. Right click in the box that comes up and click paste then ok. Done.

I've hunted Alberta and Saskatchewan several times. It's a unique experience and some big ones do get killed every year. IMHO, Saskatchewan is not what it used to be and commercial deer hunting has really changed things there. Reality is the vast majority of hunters harvest deer around 140 +/- 10 inches. Far more at the lower end of that spectrum than the higher end. A 150 buck is certainly achievable but not as easy as it once was. A good SK outfitter is going to cost you $3,500-5,000. Don't forget flights, licenses, tips, taxidermy, etc and you can easily hit that $6,000 mark.

You may see fewer deer but if Canada is your target then Alberta may be a better choice. (No baiting in AB whereas its legal in SK). Alberta turns out some monsters and you can sometimes get a combo hunt allowing you to take a muley and a whitetail for a reasonable price.

Iowa, Kansas and Illinois would all be good choices. A muzzleloader tag in Kansas on a reputable ranch is a great hunt.

This does not surprise me, 3 out of the 4 hunters I hunted with the first 3 days went home without deer. But 2 missed 150"+ deer at less than 150yds.

This was the same story I got from everyone going home. I killed a mature deer with lots of mass but may make 140". The outfitter thought he may have come from up north because they had not seen him before and he may have had a rough winter the year before.

JB Outfitters is a good one. And Wheeler's whitetails is a good one.

The one I hunt with is small and usually has 2-4 hunters in camp at one time. So I am sort of keeping him close to the vest. But i have several friends who hunt in the general south central and south west Kansas area and they have good relationships with their outfitters. Its more the style of hunting and the terrain in that area that carries the day. Look around and find someone you hit it off with.

Also, the best thing I ever did was take a 4 day weekend with a buddy over Labor Day about 10 years ago. We drove to Kansas and visited about 6-7 different outfitters. Some even took us out to glass deer in their fields. We then booked a hunt for the next year with the guy we liked the best. It was time well spent.

I've hunted Kansas every year for the last 10 years. Dad bought me a senior year trip with Tamarrack outfitters in unit 16 (best outfitter in Kansas and it's not even close) I got to know those guys and started guiding for them while i was in college and just leased stuff on my own for the last 8 years.

Cant find a better area to kill a 150-180. I've shot a deer over 155 every year i've hunted out there and 3 were between 170-188.

Tamarrack has a waiting list a mile long just because all the clients are 5+ year repeat but give them a call and ask for a recc.

What's important to you?

I have hunted Texas a lot and it's fun. Target rich, great food, good people. Most hunts you can kill does and cull bucks, hogs, varmints ect.

Call Greg Simons wildlife Systems. He has booked as many whitetail hunts as anyone in the US. Honest straight shooter. He could get you a trip this year and probably at a discount this late in the year.

If your willing to wait, a Mule Deer hunt in the Davis mountains in west Texas is an awesome choice. You can add whitetail, javelina, or free range aoudad with your hunt.

Maybe consider a budget elk hunt out west for a different adventure.

Here's my experience. Me and 3 buddies went to Illinois 3 weeks ago on private land (no big outfitter) and an engineer I work with went to Giles island the same time we went to Illinois. All 3 of us tagged out on buck 135" or bigger. On the Giles island trip they didnt kill a single deer out of 5 people. I'm not saying Giles island sucks, but nothing compares to hunting the rut in the Midwest

I have paid for a guided hunt & I will never do it again. I hate people & I would rather walk alone with my dog for 3 damn days and never pull the trigger than to hear some guide blather on about how great their well managed 10000 acres are for 1 hour.
thats awesome of your wife but I would do some research and not be so quick to jump on that deal. You can buy a lot of licenses with that kind of money for a few years vs 1 hunt.

Has anyone ever used the cabelas hunt finder outfitter service ? I never have but have been told the places they list are usually legit.
