Back in the office today and remembered seeing this thread a few days ago.
Want to try it but 12$ for a cuban sandwich ? Doesn't say, so I am assuming that is without a side and then the tip.
Way too high.

It's a pretty big sandwich, and Dempsey's poboys are in the $10 to $12 range.

e did say that the chef at City Club bakes the bread they use for some of the sandwhiche
I know this guy personally. He's a heck of a guy, heck of a chef, and bread is his passion and it shows.
That being said, $9 for a blue cheese wedge? WTF?

Comes with house made chips, but no, your food does not include your tip
I don't really think the price is that crazy. Sourcing locally baked bread, making their own condiments, using decent quality meat, etc.
Like someone else said, you easily pay $10-$14 for a whole poboy. The sandwiches at CP are all large in my experience. I could split one easily.
ETA: $9 for a bleu cheese wedge is crazy. But I find them overpriced pretty much everywhere.

Seems like everybody wants fresh, locally made food at Subway prices. If you don't want to pay that much for it, don't. I'm willing to pay a premium to support local places that do a great job.

After seeing the menu, I am back to being excited about City Pork. Their first location while good food, was nothing exciting for me. The new place however is much more in line with what I thought they were going to do on Perkins. We will have to hit that up one evening.

Wife and I went for lunch today. We really enjoyed it and will be back soon. We started with a charcuterie board. She had the Jefferson greens salad and I had the rabbit and dumplings. It was delicious. It's a little expensive, but I don't mind paying for high quality locally sourced ingredients. I think they are going to print money. Only downside is they don't do retail sales so I'll have to head to the other location for bacon, etc...

I've gone twice now.
The first time parking was a major issue. I split the pastrami cheek sandwiches and the sticky wings. The sandwiches were great, but the wings were a bit heavy. They were very good sized, and the app portion was plenty, but the glaze was too heavy IMO and made it too rich for a chicken wing dish.
Went today and had the Jefferson Greens salad. It was good and local and all, but I thi k I was $17+ after tip. Thats just a bit much. There were some unique and delicious aspects to the salad, and they were using "local" greens, but at that price your alienating me from the experience a bit. I can get a great salad at Byronz out the door for $14, and even a damn good one from McAlisters for $8.

I love the bacon "bits" in that salad. They are the size of croutons.

I had the pork sammich and an app. It was delicious though!

Yeah, it seems like every item is $2-$3 higher than it should be, but in that area, they're depending on wealthier clientele that will be willing to pay.

Tried out the new City Pork last night.
Everything was fantastic. I will definitely be returning.
The place looks awesome. I cannot believe that was the same building I spent 3 years in. They really changed stuff around. Even things like the fountain drink lines and stuff are in different spots. Noticed they kept a good bit of our kitchen equipment, but they definitely spruced up the kitchen. We DEFINITELY could not have had an open kitchen
Drink prices are more than fair. Only one beer on the menu was over $4, and it was $5. Wines were priced well too. I had Sauv Blanc for $6.
Got the wings, the cheek pastrami sandwiches, and the smoked meatballs.
Wings were perfect. They were a great size, very crispy, and the sauce was great. A bit decadent if you don't like rich sauces, but I loved it.
Cheek pastrami sandwiches stole the show. I want to eat that as an entree. So so so good.
Smoked meatballs.. eh. It tasted fine, but I doubt I'd order again. Only 3 small meatballs, and the sauce/pasta was just okay.
Their sandwiches are definitely where they shine. We just knew we couldn't take down a sandwich after the two apps.

I had the Pork Belly Hoagie yesterday, It was really good. Nice mix of pork meat and thin crunchy crackling topped with stewed greens.
I opted for the mac 'n cheese instead of chips. It was made with orzo pasta and was pretty tasty.

Best friend and his wife rave about this place. He said the Cubano is great and they have the best dirty rice he's ever had.

went today, won't go back.
i didn't think that building could get any louder.. i was wrong.
They didn't have co2 for soft drinks.
the chips they served with the sandwich were burnt and way too salty.
the pulled pork was mushy and bland.
