I went to the game so might have missed a thread on this, but holy shite.

There had to have been at least 7+ drops. Jimmy had 3-4 all by himself.

Watson had 2 for sure. Pierre had a couple. Hill and one on a screen. shite it might be 10 drops.

When the team is this bad, everyone is to blame, from the top down.

Some solid reading comprehension.

I liked how you took something away from the OP that didn't even exist.

Mistakes in fundamentals and simply losing 1-on-1s on the line cost that game. You don't lose a game this badly if you perform the fundamentals out on the field. IMO, in this order we lost the game because of these.

Offense:
1. Early turnovers and deficit as a result of these turnovers.
2. Backup at Left Tackle. Bryce Harris is simply the worst offensive lineman I've ever seen. He makes Charlie Brown look like an All-Pro. The pocket looked like a vice grip being tightened all game.
3. Dropping the effing ball.
4. Perimeter blocking was shaky at best. We couldn't move the ball inside OR outside. Pretty much means you have no offense.

Defense:
1. Defensive line getting singled out. Every single DLineman was being blocked by a single offensive lineman. That makes for an easy game in the pocket. No pass rush accentuates our weakest element on defense - everything.
2. Run Defense? I am willing to wager with the PFF stats come out for this game, it will show the fewest tackles by LBs and the most tackles by the secondary. Runners find it too easy to get to the next level against this defense.
3. Scheme... Cam Newton... Cam frigging Newton was able to read our defensive alignments like he was Peyton Manning. Also, why in the hell didn't Rob Ryan put a spy on Newton? Put a 2nd/3rd safety to spy the backfield and play the run. It's quite simple.

I am finding it harder and harder to not blame Rob Ryan for the issues this year on defense. Again, I am not sure if there is a communication issue between Ryan and his positional coaches, oh to be a fly on the wall in the Saints office... Yes, you have had some pretty significant injuries, but how do you explain the under-performing Defensive line ALL YEAR? How do you explain the Linebackers inability to plug the lanes and tackle when they do? And I think the injuries in the secondary have truly affected that unit, plus no pass rush and having to guard against the run does affect the secondary. Vaccaro has hinted to that so far this year.

Gallette is a fricking joke. Go figure this performance comes right after he decided to call out Vilma and Fujita, guys who actually have skins on the wall.

He had 6 pressures on just 19 pass rushes due him missing time with injury. He was our entire pass rush.

Hicks was the only other dlineman to record a pressure with 2. We had zero hits on Cam

Exactly! I'm so tired of seeing people only blaming one side or the other, while taking up for the opposite side. Everyone is to blame for this waste of a season.

Damn guys, I'm just pointing out an observation and asking a question.

I never said it wasn't brees or the defense fault
