Going to the Orange bowl and need recommendations on what to do, where to eat, etc. Any info will be appreciated.

Go to Dania Beach and eat at Rustic Inn Crabhouse.
Also if you're flying in, tickets are usually cheaper into Fort Lauderdale than into Miami.

Had a job interview a few years ago right south of Miami in Florida City. While driving in Miami, I made a wrong turn and ended up in Little Havana.
My advice:
Don't make a wrong turn and end up in Little Havana.

Orange Bowl isn't in Miami anymore.

Need more details about where you are staying. Miami is kinda huge.

I eat breakfast in Little Havana whenever I'm down there for work. What caused your apprehension? Cubans won't bother you at all. Little Hait is a different story.
For under $8 you can get Cuban coffee, eggs, sausage or bacon and cuban toast...including tip.

I lived there and I would stay right near the stadium to avoid traffic; there is a lot to do in that area as well.

I don't trust Cubans.
That being said:
Cubans>>>>>Haitians

Why the hell not?
They are great folks. Cubans are the least of your worries in Miami. Ever heard of a violent Cuban street gang doing drive bys in Little Havana? Those folks have morals and a good work ethic. I wish our entire immigration issue was with Cubans. Their wiminz are beautiful until they turn 40 when they plump up.

If you enjoy craft beer you should hit up Funky Buddha in either Boca or Oakland Park. They do some very unique brews. In Miami you can check out Wynwood Brewing as an alternative.

Dude, that is mean to send someone all the way to Boca from Miami especially for a noob. The traffic could make that a 2 hour trip or even more.

We are staying near the airport because it is the cheapest place to stay. We can always cancel the rooms if we need to. We will be driving there from Mississippi.

Go eat at Bazaar. Heard it was killer.

I never stay near the airport.
Try the Hampton Inn in Coconut Grove. It's affordable usually and close to the Grove, Downtown, Key Biscayne and Coral Gables somewhat.
You'll have lots of food and nightlife choices.
I love the Grove. If high end clubs are your thing you'll want to visit South Beach.
Flanigans is my favorite low key place for wings and sports bar food there. It's at the edge of the Grove near the hotel I mentioned. Lokal for great burgers in the Grove as well. You can walk around the grove and hit lots of bars.
Joes Stone Crabs is worth the trip.
There are so many options there it's crazy. Good food all around you.

You can drive 2 hours to go 3 miles in Miami!
Not knowing where he was staying I was giving him options...

Wouldn't stay near the airport. Shitty area and a long drive to the stadium in traffic.
Check out rooms in aventura area. If they are around $50 more per night it is more than worth it.
Also, how long will you be here and what do you want todo while you are here?
