Saturday dinner:
Baie Fries - awesome. $8. Easily a meal. Fresh cut fries with bechamel sauce.

Fried Oyster Mushrooms: served with remoulade. Flavor on point but mushrooms were very tough. Would recommend changing to a simple button mushroom.

Beef Cheek Tacos: red cabbage and garlic aioli. Good. Nothing to write home about.

Overall good food and prices

The bad: atmosphere, it was Saturday night at 8:00pm and only a 4 top plus my gf and I. Little to quiet for me. With Saturday night business like that I don't see them lasting that long especially when you walk by a packed Magasin and Theo's

I'm a fan of the place. They seem to do more business at breakfast and lunch. One of the only good places in the neighborhood you can go get breakfast from on the weekend and not have to worry about a line.

I've been twice and thought it was ok.

I ordered the fries once and they were bad. Fries were soggy and the bechamel was bland.

It's probably been 6+ months since I've been so maybe they've turned it around. I'm a little surprised they survived this long.

This sounds like a new menu item and it sounds interesting. I would like to give them another try.

I have been once for dinner and was not impressed at all.

I had the cocoa/chili grilled pork chop, which I think was more than $20 and was probably a 4/10.

Don't really have a reason to go back.

I've walked by a hundred times and have never gone in. It does seem to be a place to try for breakfast or lunch more than dinner, though.

And I love good fries. I just don't like them covered with a bunch of gooey shite.

I've pretty much only gone for breakfast. Just an easy place to get in and out of on a weekend when you need a quick but good breakfast.

Have only been once for burger and fries. Pretty good, not stellar.

Burger, think the fries were blue cheese.

Fried egg, caramelized onions.

I think I only took down half that night. Can't really remember with the amount of Old Fashioneds consumed.

I think it's underrated simply because of the crowds.

I go there probably more than most since I live practically next door...they have really good hot wings.

the lundi burger is good (veggie) and the regular burger is good not fantastic...i love the atmosphere of the place as it just feels very homely...but as the oP mentioned it would suck eating there by yourself on saturday night which unfortunately seems to be the case.

if you haven't been I would definitely suggest giving them at least one shot
