It's very, very unlikely but I was wondering about this:

If the Panthers tie again and win their other two games, finishing at 6-8-2, and the Saints finish 7-9 above the Falcons, who wins the division?

The Bucs are in the driver's seat. This thread is pointless.

No it wouldn't

It would go down the same list of teibreakers. I know division record is next. Then common games. I'll let you figure out who wins there

That is the same record, essentially.

Ties count as one-half win and one-half loss.

So, two ties basically means you add a win and a loss to Carolina's record, putting them at 7-9.

You'd have to go down the list of tie-breakers from there.

Maybe they will announce a co-champ and send a team with a winning record from another division instead.

No one deserves to make the playoffs from the NFC South. You shouldn't make the playoffs with anything less than a 9-7 record.

If a division finishes the year with no team better than 8-8 that division should forfeit their playoff spot and it should become another wildcard spot.
