Jennings came in after B Harris was benched in the Auburn Game. AJ performed no BETTER!!Like Ohio St Miles should have gone with the Freshman and let the WR's and RB's all grow and develop together.

The JJ comparisons are retarded. You clowns act like Jarrett Lee actually had a chance to beat Bama. Look at his play vs Bama and get over 2012. Holy shite people.

True play calling was the issue throughout this whole game.

And don't disrespect JJ by comparing AJ to him. AJ makes Jefferson look like Aaron Rodgers.

fwiw i think harris will be our starter by kickoff next year, but i don't have to say how it's never gonna happen for the next 8 months to protect myself from a letdown.

We're playing in a relatively minor bowl game on a Tuesday afternoon, so there's no monstrous pressure. Both quarterbacks have plenty of time to prepare. If it truly is a competition, give Jennings two series and Harris two series through the first three quarters. If one guy is significantly better, play him the fourth quarter.

Let them compete on the field, in a game, a game that doesn't really affect much. Of course, this won't happen. I honestly don't expect to see Harris much, if any.

I don't think Les wants Harris to outplay AJ in the bowl game, or any game this year which is why he hasn't had the opportunity since AU. If Harris is to get the starting spot, he'll have to do it in the spring and fall camp.

Neither of those possibilities lend themselves to the idea that Harris will be the guy next year or that even if he is, it will matter.

i mean he could just be a freshmen behind an extremely hard working sophomore.

This is one of the few posts that make sense in this entire thread, Lee would have LOST the Bama game we won, and if you doubt that, go watch the tape. Lee stares down his first receiver every play, and then derps out when they're not open. They would have picked him off all game, and the same goes for 1/9. Its not a Damn conspiracy theory, Les made the RIGHT choice. The play calling was also the right call, like it or not, it was our best chance to win.

He's a true freshman, who is VERY undersized (Would most likely have gotten hurt)! Like it or not people, the Auburn game was the perfect example of why we didn't play him this year. Him not knowing the playbook not only limits us in play calling, but it gives multiple advantages to the other team (learning signals, can't change personnel positioning, no audibles, etc...) Don't get it twisted people, Harris is an incredible talent that WILL start next year, unless he jacks off all spring/summer. AJ was the right play this year, like it or not, Harris WAS NOT READY! Since when do true freshmen start at QB? Its very very VERY rare, but don't let me get in the way of all your personal agendas. Geaux Tigers!

I wasn't aware that they had people on the board that had the capacity for logical thought. I am going to stare at your post slack jawed for the next 5 minutes.

Lee was not pulled and put back in games after the 2011 Bama game. JJ was the starter for the remainder of the season and looked horiable in doing so.

What? Untill JJ played 2 top 5 defenses he was killing it. 5tds-1int 67compl% jj didnt suck in the 2011 regular season. He also had the best game of either qb against #3 ark.

Comparisons to JJ are b/c Miles wanted JJ to play no matter how badly he performed on the field. I agree JJ beat Bama in 2012 and they almost definitely lose if Lee stays in that game. However Miles wouldn't or didn't pull JJ when he was horrible against other teams. You have to at least try to win. Miles didn't do that in the 1/9 game. JJ also was so bad in the UGA SEC title game that J Lee deserved a chance.

It's obvious Miles has a problem developing/picking QBs. I'd just like to see Harris get more of a chance since Jennings clearly hasn't shown enough to be comfortable walking into 2015 with him as the starter. Miles has the rotating excuses why he doesn't win titles anymore. 1 yr it's QB play; the next it's b/c the O-Line is young; the next it's b/c we lost too many ppl on D....etc, etc, etc.

No more excuses. Win the West in 2015 or clear out.

Lee would have LOST the Bama game we won,

Pure retardation

1) Lee took Bama to overtime as a RS Fr. With a defense that got the co-coaches fired

2) Lee led the greatest comeback victory in LSU history as a RS Fr. Why? Because he could throw the ball. Thats how you come from behind.

3) Lee was called on to convert a 3rd and 13 (because everyone knew that JJ wasnt picking that up). And who were we playing against? Bama, the year before JJ pissed away the BCS game

4) Lee has the 2nd longest steak in LSU history of passes between interceptions.

5) Miles was forced to play Lee vs Tenn and Fla, because he saw his contract going up in flames, and Lee delivered for him

6) Then the next year, Lee had beaten 6 ranked teams before JJ was even back on the team, yet Miles could not wait to get JJ out there to score on the goal line in his first game back. What coach takes that opportunity away from a QB that has put you in BCS contention. Where is the reward for his loyalty to the program? What kind of man does that to a college kid?

7) And in the 9-6 Bama game, JJ was trotted out there on the 5th play of the game. Not after the first interception as has been the revisionist history. Why? Lee was 2/2 for 19 yards, but Les wanted JJ so BADLY that he knowingly messed with Lee's confidence

No coach in hell pulls the starting QB on the fifth play of the first drive with that QB completing 100% of their passes on a 3rd and 2. Who the hell does that?????

Les is a fricking moron when it comes to QB evaluation and development

Harris should run as fast as he can

I misplaced my blind rage at the last message board I went to.

It's hilarious to think Les Miles cares near enough about a bunch of armchair QBs opinions, to play a lesser QB, over pride...

If harris isnt the starter next year / we run the same system as this year, I will have lost all faith in this coaching staff.

Do you really need to see another wasted year, another year where we don't win anything? After 1/9/12, the painful JJ/JL era, the 2014 season...you still have faith in Les Miles/any coaching staff he has put together?

Here is my attempt to help you better cope with your loss of faith (which will occur at some point during the 2015 season, per your comments):

Harris will not start next year, short of an injury to Jennings that is serious enough to keep him from starting any game as the LSU quarterback. To repeat, Jennings will start every game that he is physically able to, no matter how poorly he performs. In fact, it is likely that Harris will not even see playing time in conference blowouts, but may receive some snaps against directional out of conference nobodies LSU is blowing out (but only with 5 to 10 minutes remaining in the game).

Do you even realize how dumb that sounds? He wanted a "lesser" QB in the game, so he pulled his "better" QB, all to destroy his confidence?
