If Harris catches up with Jennings mentally, he will be the starter.

Miles won't leave the guy who is Clearly the better player (not just better talent) on the bench.

Look. Here's a reality check for you.

We have been starting the WORST QB in ALL of major college football. Harris either hasn't beaten that out, or Miles is fricking obtuse.

Neither of those possibilities lend themselves to the idea that Harris will be the guy next year or that even if he is, it will matter.

Harris will NOT be the starter next year, or even the year after. If he wants to play, he should put out feelers for transferring. The ONLY reason miles continues to pat him on the head and tell him it is an even playing field is aj may suffer a year ending injury, and Miles wants somebody familiar with the play book. And as I have said before I will put my money where my mouth his.

If harris isnt the starter next year / we run the same system as this year, I will have lost all faith in this coaching staff.

Agree with this! I have been a Miles supporters, aka Pumper, but if he gets stuck on AJ after this year's performance, it is obvious he cares nothing about winning. If the competition is truly open, Harris will win the job. If not and we are stuck with the mediocrity at qb because of Les' love for AJ, he should be escorted from BR no matter the cost. Harris is not going to hang around and wait on the circus tent to fall.

There is no reason we should have to watch a team without a competent quarterback.

If you know Coach you know that he doesn't have to do anything ,but he will open it up because of similliar talents remember in qb play the head is what counts most !

and then for most of the games after.

Lee was not pulled and put back in games after the 2011 Bama game. JJ was the starter for the remainder of the season and looked horiable in doing so. He was left in after shitty showings and Lee was put in to kneel the ball at games end.

JJ was put back in immediately after his suspension was lifted and was rotated in a bunch between Kentucky and Bama. After Lee threw a pic against one if not the beast D in all of college football, he was benched and never saw meaningful playing time the rest of his carrier.

That's what I don't understand. He found away to use two QBs with JJ but fast foward to this season, we were doing it and now nothing. We burnt his red shirt and he has not seen the field in the back half of the season. We did the same thing with shep. Burned his RS and used him as a decoy. (I'm not arguing that shep was the next Montana, but it doesn't make sense to burn a red shirt and not use the player at all. Shep running the wildcat seemed to work real well but that went away too, I guess it was too modern)

No, Anthony Jennings will lead this team to a NC because he is a film room junkie and Harris should wait his turn until he can learn the 5 plays we run.

Don't even go there with the Auburn game. It was criminal to throw that kid out there for his first start ever. On the road at Auburn with that putrid play calling. Throwing the ball only when Auburn has to be looking pass because Les ran it on first and second down setting up 3rd and longs.
And then to hold that against him for the rest of the season as if AJ was actually any better. Did you not see the Arkansas game? -1 yard of offense in the 1st quarter. Shut out by an SEC bottom feeder. What in the hell did AJ do to deserve to keep playing in that game?

I'll agree it was a tough decision to start, but clearly you just made the rest up. We ran the ball effectively on first down at AU. He was not in 3rd in longs all game.

He was rattled and off, but that's still no reason to sit him for the rest of the year. That was a bad decision.

We maybe blaming the coaches for alot but if harris studies the playbook in the off season there is no reason he shouldnt start. I'm starting to wonder if our Qb's have the dedication to want to learn the playbook. What makes a QB good to great is the willingness to stay after practice to look at film to go the extra Mile? Hoping harris puts in the time.
