The snake does swallow him. That suit he wears was very high tech and tested thoroughly before the snake ate him.
Also, they coated the suit in pigs blood to entice the snake thenhad to poke and piss off the snake because it didn't want to eat him. Once the snake got pissed and struck though, it tasted the pig blood and went through with eating him.

He gave a lot of details. Said snake did eat him, he wasn't scared inside the snake, snake wasn't harmed, etc. Did say the constricting power was fricking retarded and ridiculous and that did bother him - the suit holding up.
