That the final ranking is probably right but the way the got to it was muddy and nonsensical.

This guy.

Also the committe just said get a conference championship game or you are fricked in these situations.

He, like a lot of us, is just wondering how TCU won a game by 52 and dropped 3 spots in the final poll.

Also brand names win out in the end so Baylor and purple Baylor take a seat at the back of the bus.

Galloway is arguing to argue. They probably had a production meeting and designated him the bad guy. Here's a question. He would he be reacting if his alma mater was left out?

Because it can change from week to week. Other teams played tougher opponents this week.

When OSU gets smoked 59-0 and CUM has a heart attack live on the field rnd 1 they will realize how bad they botched this

The thing that most frustrates me is transparency. Long wouldn't even answer Rece's questions. We should know how everyone is voting and why.

I agree totally. The committee frikked up by putting TCU at #3 last week.

IMO I think they moved FSU to #4 in anticipation of them possibly losing to Tech in the ACC Championship Game. Makes it a lot easier to drop them out. They haven't respected them much all year.

I just don't think they anticipated having to drop TCU that far.

But I think in the end they got it right. Big 12 folks might not like it, but if you're going to play one less game than everyone else then you're going to get punished for it. That one less opportunity to drop one and opportunity for everyone else playing to bolster their ranking.

He played for Ohio State.

Any ethical sports outlet would not allow him to speak or at least reface his comments every time he speaks.

Or allow Ladainian Tomlinson equal time.

I do and so does Paul Finebaum. If they had left TCU at #4 last week, there would be much less controversy today, since they would have just had to flip-flop TCU and Ohio State on the basis of the Buckeyes' demolition of Wisconsin.

I think it's being caught up in the old AP poll logic that teams "fall" by "SUBTRACTION" from their resume much more than others can rise based on how much they "ADD" to theirs.

Ohio St, FSU and Baylor simply "Added" more to their resumes the final weekend than TCU in the final week when all were (according to the committee) practically in a dead heat going in.

It's more a scheduling anomaly that even allowed TCU to be ranked 3rd in the first place because they had already added their best resume games when all three teams in a dead heat with them still had one of their biggest resume builders to add.

It's not hard.

OSU won their conference by beating #13 59-0.

Baylor beat top 10 KSU. Big 12 co champs

TCU lost heads up to Baylor.

So if OSU was ranked above Baylor, it's only right for TCU to be behind Baylor

Props to the committee for realizing they screwed up. I usually hate Mike Greenberg, but he made a great point early this week. If Mississippi State had beat Ole Miss, is FSU seriously at #5? Hell no. They are at #4. The committee got cute putting TCU ahead of FSU, but everyone knew that FSU was more secured in the Top 4 than TCU, even if TCU was sitting at #3.

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. Florida State

If Miss. St beats Ole Miss, these are the rankings on Tuesday. Period.
1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Florida State/ Miss St.
4. Miss. St./ FSU
5. TCU

exactly

too many fans are viewing this through the lens of out-dated thinking that our grandparents made canon

This is damn football commentary & he's entitled to his opinion. Its not like he's a judge who needs to recuse himself or something.

Besides he left Ohio State over 20 years ago & I am certain even referees are allowed to officiate alma mater games after x amount of years with no issue.
