Fox Sports 910's Mike Jurecki hears the Cardinals are considering shutting down Andre Ellington (hip).
The hip pointer Ellington suffered while picking up a blitz last week is apparently far more severe than originally thought. The undersized feature back will likely see a specialist soon to determine a timetable and course of action. It's a crippling blow to the 9-3 Cardinals, as they'll now have to ride with a committee of Stepfan Taylor, Marion Grice and Robert Hughes. Ellington has also been fighting a foot injury since Week 1. Dec 7 - 10:29 AM

Certainly don't go crazy and drop him just yet, but if you are hurting at RB, you might want to go drop your 4th/5th WR and pick up a lottery ticket.

I own Ellington and I still don't know if I'm going to pick one of them up. As much as people have wanted to shite on Ellington lately, I've watched every game, and it really hasn't been his fault. That line isn't blocking worth shite.

Welcome to Arizona Cardinals football. But in all honesty, once Palmer went out, Ellington was F'd. Opponents have just been stacking the box and daring Stanton to beat them...and guess what? He can't.

Or Stephan Taylor?

I would stay away from both of them. Grice is probably the more talented runner, but Taylor is a good pass blocker and he is solid out of the backfield. So if I had to choose one, I would go with Taylor - but don't expect much fantasy production from anyone on our pedestrian offense with all of these injuries stacking up.
