Because listening to Lloyd Carr has worked out so well for you guys so far.

It's not that it worked out for us, but Lloyd and Harbaugh have previously didn't get along too well, so Lloyd coming out and saying Harbaugh is the best candidate shows that a) Harbaugh and Lloyd have squashed any beef b) Lloyd, disagreements aside, realizes Harbaugh is the best man for the job and doesn't want to stand in the way or anything like that or c) both.

Stupid as it is that he may have influence, and trust that most Michigan fans don't care if he approves of the new hire, it does seem to hold some significance

Schiano isn't that bad. Some college coaches can't hack it in the NFL. Spurrier's NFL win record is only one game better than Schiano. And there was a reason the Bucs hired Schiano in the first place - he was very successful building up Rutgers. That wouldn't be a terrible hire for Michigan.

The "R" isn't ironic. I watched quite a few of those Schiano-era Rutgers games from the stands.

Schiano is an elite motivator. If he returns to college, he is, without a doubt in my mind, a top-5 motivational coach.

Fundamentals and discipline? Schiano is damned good.

X's and O's? Mediocre at best, and he is utterly atrocious at making in-game adjustments. There were far too many games where opponents would change up their approach and Schiano would keep 'chopping away,' with whatever he had come to the stadium with.

Rutgers couldn't do better. Michigan can.

Apparently Harbaugh doesn't have interest in the job, so I guess he isn't the guy.

You missed the point

Les has a NC, 2 SEC titles, and an incredible record. Cam is a former NFL HC and OC and has a great resume. They are both Michigan alums. What's so funny?

I think Cam is an Indiana alum but coached under Bo

Bingo

Longer it drags out though, I can envision a scenario where Grandpa Carr is told go to bed while we select the best available candidate that wont say no

What is Rappaports inside source? Webb a Michigan beat reporter says its still alive.. I am assuming he knows much more than a random national media guy?

Is this a joke or do you really not know?

Rapoport is an NFL Insider for NFL Network and is one of the best insiders in pro football. He is always on top of everything with great sources.

He runs circles around some college beat writer.

And it's not like it's just him either, multiple NFL people have said for weeks now Harbaugh isn't leaving the NFL and most likely not even leaving the West Coast and doesn't want to. Not new news.

This is not true. From what I have read, JH has not made up his mind yet. The chance to come back to Michigan is 60% now.

He wants to come back to Michigan but there is issue with his daughter (from 1st wife not the 2nd). California has strange child custody law regarding the father moving out the state. But people think this issue will be solved by giving more money to the wife.

Also JH's dad told him if he accepts Michigan's job, it will be his last job. Not good to jump back to NFL after a few years. So he need to be sure he wants to stay in Michigan.

He will be out of 49ers. He is going to screw them big time after York and the GM's daughter tweeted during the thanksgiving football game. He will void all of the trades and make them to fire him.

Michigan is still waiting. The earliest they know is when 49ers season is over.

Less Miles is 2nd choice. He will be offered after JH says No.

Look at it. B1G is not SEC. Miles can easily go 9:3 this year with that schedule.

So, ya'll planning on waiting until January in the hopes that Harbaugh says yes? I'm sure that'll work out well.

Yeah. Michigan will wait.

This recruiting class is very small. about 15 scholarships. There are 4/5 guys committed to the program said they will come no matter who is the coach.

Hoke's assistants were asked to stop recruiting and clean out their offices. So there is no one recruiting for Michigan now.

Hoke and Greg Madison are very close to the Harbough's family. So Michigan was treating them very well when fire them.

The AD told the players the new coach will be here when they come back from Winter Break.
He is a pro style offense guy. Not a spread guy.

Anyone with half a brain knows that this scenario is unlikely, BUT it is not impossible. Maybe it's delusion, but it does seem like if UM WAS to get Harbs, the stars seem to be lining up for it in a weird way.

I hope it happens. I don't think it will. But I hope it does. Honestly, I'll be fine with almost any of the names mentioned so far except Addazio or Schiano. Say good by to Michigan football for 20 years if that happens.
