They're pretty much locked in to TCU and Oregon over Baylor and tOSU. And it's only because they've already released prior rankings.

No they aren't. They can move tOSU over TCU and Baylor and the only people who will object will be from Texas.

No they are not. They have already said a prior weeks rankings have no effect on current weeks rankings.

Yeah agreed. I don't understand the point of doing it weekly other than feeding ESPN money. Makes it more complicated on them.

it's smart $$$ wise and because the entire country is so fricking stupid.
there is no actual reason to do the rankings more than once, but they are going to anyways. people think they matter in mid november for some mind numbing reason, and because of that, they are going to keep releasing them.

They can do whatever the frick they want.

I agree. No reason to put out any rankings at all. Just have the selection show.

I agree. This every week thing is making ESPN truck loads of money with great ratings, but it's making a joke of the process IMO... I don't need to see Jeff long looking like a moron every Tuesday trying to justify what amounts to a coin flip... using phrases he doesn't even understand like "game control"... wtf?
