Kiel is playing well, 15/24, 190 yes and 2 scores. He gets nicked and in comes Munchie Legaux from Edna Karr in NO. They don't miss a beat as Munchie goes 9/12 and 146 yds so far,
First guy spurned LSU and the second never got an offer. They are both obviously better than what we currently have on roster.
Would either of these guys faired as well at LSU or would we still be lamenting the QB situation.
Is it the personnel or the lack of developing the personnel?

Lots of these good passing teams don't miss a beat when the starter is knocked out..

Coach em up!

Lack of development. The best quarterback we've had since JR didn't start his career at LSU. Go figure.

eh, I don't agree that Munchie is better. he'd struggle in our offense just as much.

I am amazed how everyone else makes it look easy to develop a quarterback. Having a developed QB at LSU is like winning the lottery

Just do a search, this same thread is posted every time Cincinnati plays and Kiel has a decent game.

Neither Harris nor Jennings were as highly regarded as Kiel was, but both were solid 4 star prospects by almost all of the services. There's no reason IMO they can't be competent SEC quaterbacks, and in Harrris's case possibly very good. It's on the staff to get them there, provided the kids put in the work of course.

Jesus H Christ. They are playing fricking Houston. I would look great playing qb today for them.

It would have been nice to have Kiel after Mett finished his eligibility.

The caliber of defense that they play is no where near the same caliber LSU plays on a weekly basis. You can't seriously judge these performances. Put them against a SEC West defense and this offense will struggle tremendously. Ever since LSU dismantled Oregon's "high powered offense" I don't take teams with these offenses seriously.

Something has to change concerning the QB situation at LSU.

Les's assessment of Gunner is very accurate. He is not physically or mentally tough. Constantly hurt and not considered a team leader. Prima Donna who regularly throws teammates under the bus.

Oh, bite a pillow, dickbag. You know that is said tongue in cheek. Point is houston isn't very good. I'd be willing to bet a pretty penny that Cincinnati isn't going to move the ball at will in the SEC. Lol

And we wind up with a QB that is last in D1 stats for QB Rating.

There is no excuse whatsoever for Miles to not recruit a top QB each year and get them ready.

Cam is using their QB practice system. Backups get 2-3 snaps a week.

I hope Miles and Cam get a new gig....

Jennings has played against some bad defenses and he has never put up those kinds of numbers.
