Watching the Pac 12 Championship Game...how could Kirk Merritt not want want to play for an offense like that who could use his explosiveness and speed every play...I would kill for this kid to put on purple and gold...but he's just not for us. Good luck to wherever he decides to go, I pull for LA kids no matter where they go. Except Alabama.

Workout warrior. Good luck to him, rather we focus elsewhere

Funny, I'm the complete opposite.

I think the feeling has been mutual between Merritt and LSU from day one that's why we really haven't perused him all that hard. Maybe LSU is waiting for one of his top choices to screw up some kinda way so they can slip in the backdoor on NSD.

You never pull for LA kids regardless of where they go?

I was for him early, but Derrick Dillon can do the same things.

Merritt has shown less and less interest. Also, notice now that the games are happening he is sliding down the rankings? He lit up the camps and I knew he would, but they have a lot of talent on Destrehan's roster and he is not the workhorse or the go to guy in tough situations. He's an absolute stud athlete, but that's just the truth. I do hope he is able to perform in the state championship. It would be a shame for him to not have a chance to play in that one.
