Never in my life have I seen this phenomenon. Anyone else have ant beds in their yard right now?

Use Tallstar a few times a year and you won't ever have to deal with those bastards.

I used to spread out the granules. Haven't in a few years but I'm talking about this prolonged warm spell we're having.

By far the best plan with ants in the winter....... the late evening before the first hard freeze dig up the beds. Tried it one year after everything else failed. worked great.

I did. This is how I solved the problem.

I stirred them up a couple of days in a row, and every time they'd come out, I burned them with a propane torch. Oddly enough, the live ones would gather the dead ones into big piles. Then, I poured gasoline on them and lit it on fire.

Only thing cooler would've been to pour molten aluminum down there
