PS4 install times?

i don't think there's anything you can do. it's a massive game and it just takes a while to install. or are you talking about downloading it digitally?

That does seem ridiculously slow. I bought it on disc and I want to say the entire install took about 45 minutes or so. It sort of does 2 installs. One install where it loads data off the disc while you are in the PS4 main menu. And then when you run the game for the first time it does more installing while it cycles through GTA images and there is a percentage in the bottom right.

No the download already finished, it's the install that has been taking forever. I'm on the apartment complex's wifi and it's never really been this bad.

It took about 5 hours and some change to install Grand Theft Auto V

That was the digital copy.

No idea if it is a console problem. I bought the disc version and it took about 35 minutes to I stall for me


Looks like tactical said his took 5 hours which seems ridiculous. That sounds like the install and download time to me. IBe only bought a couple of games digitally (arse creed 4 and killzone) and they took no where near that long to install. What are you sitting at now?

Just got my bundle in and from the disc it's been installing 35 mins and its at 60%

All of my downloads and installs have been extremely quick on the PS4 but whatever the issue you're having is seems to be GTA related, it took a very long time to download and equally as long to install.

Not sure what the problem is but Ive seen this complained about over various places online where its rare to hear anything like this with other games.
