Word is beginning to filter out in College Station that Texas A&M receivers' coach David Beaty is leaving the Aggies to coach at Kansas in some capacity. Information from Kansas indicates that he is going to be offensive coordinator under Ed Warriner (who would come in from Ohio State) while some folks in College Station are under the impression that he is leaving to be head coach.

Guessing this should help LSU with our mutual recruiting targets? Was he the point man on Malik or Mack for TAMU?

it definitely doesn't hurt LSU for A&M to lose their best recruiter

Yeah obviously, I more meant on specific targets. Has he been one of the main recruiters for any of our mutual targets this year? Most notably Malik and Mack?

Agree with Salmon. This guy is a very good recruiter and it cannot hurt us.

I honestly don't think it makes a difference. They've been getting some top talent the last few years because of 2 reasons: Texas is down and a&m is the trendy school right now (mostly bc of manziel). That, for the most part, hasn't changed. Hell, their defense has been utter crap for the last few years and their record has gotten worse, yet they're still likely to get malik jefferson, keep mack, and probably land kendall sheffield.
