MP3s will always be better. spotify is good for finding and trying good music before committing to DL

If you're going to be snobby about it, you should be going FLAC.

You can do what you want, but you're the one that went all audiophile and started making fun of people for using a convenient, practical app that they're willing to pay for.

You can save spotify music to your local device for listening on airplanes. You can also upload stuff to your spotify that isn't available there (which I do for leaks and stuff I can't find on there: Chance the Rapper's Acid Rap STILL isn't on there).

You can make tracks or whole albums available offline. Takes up space on your phone or device, but so do MP3s.

That's when MP3 players come in handy. you can listen to music in your car and use your phone at the same time

So toggle the available offline for whatever music you know you're going to be listening to.
