One of IGN's writers labeled this game as the most ambitious game that will never come out. It doesn't seem to be a large project for such a small team.

It's approaching GOAT status.
The fact that they punish you for dying is fricking awesome. Die while in your ship you completely lose your ship and have to take an escape pod to the nearest planet and start scavenging for resources all over again to save up and buy another ship.
If you die on foot you lose all your materials you've found while on foot but spawn back at your ship.

It's playable at the PS Experience all weekend.
Going to be a lot of news at it, UC4 is playable there as well, may finally see/hear the new Guerrilla IP, and SCE Japan is there as well with their new IP.
Everyone is saying the new GoW will be announced, as well.

May or may not show it publicly, Respawn just confirmed they're one of the developers there. Supposedly they're just there to acknowledge Titanfall 2 is on the PS4.

Overwatch was Blizzard's big, surprise announcement at BlizzCon last month. It was notable because A) No one saw it coming and B) It was Blizzard's first new franchise in 17 years.
