1. Meddle
2. Wish you Were Here
3. Atom Heart Mother
4. Piper at the Gates of Dawn
5. The Wall
6. Ummagumma
7. The Final Cut

I would like to recuse myself from putting DSOTM in there because it's such a quality album but has been so overplayed.

Edited because I forgot about Piper at the Gates of Dawn.

of maybe people know its great, but some are so insecure, they need to put something popular down because they think it makes them cool.

If I wanted to be cool I wouldn't think DSOTM, Wish You Were Here, and Animals are amazing albums. The Wall sucks, bro.

Key word. Obscure is where all the fedora folks are hanging out. If it's popular, it must suck.

The problem this theory is I think DSOTM, Wish You Were Here, and Animals are awesome.

Thanks for the troll but this isn't a Wall bashing thread, wanted to hear what people's favorite songs are from the album

Most singles from these albums were relegated to AOR stations or late night album programs. Floyd had a cult following until The Wall, which made them mainstream

Silliness. Easily their best work and one of the greatest albums of the last 40-50 years. Don't care how many times 98.1 plays Time and Money.

No, YOU may think it sucks, which is fine, that is why it is called an OPINION. But many of us think it is great. And since when i listen to it, it is either in the privacy of my own home, the privacy of my own car or on headphones, you don't have to hear it. The thread was about the 35th anniversary of the album and everyone's favorite song on it. So if you don't like it, there is really no reason for you to chime in now is there?

Great think about art. For various reasons, it means something completely different from one person to the next. Some people just don't quite understand that.

I don't know if I can pick a favorite. I'll do some favorites not named comfortably numb:

Mother
One of my turns
Nobody home
Vera
The trial
In the flesh?
The thin ice

Great album. One of the best ever. Sadly, the way Waters approached presenting it to the other 3 basically ended the Floyd.

I think it's one of the best songs of all time. The lyrics have always are very thought provoking, and the music is the perfect vehicle for the words.

When the Tigers Broke Free

I will get drawn into The Final Cut every time. That album speaks to me on a really deep, dark level.
