Tech Idiot here: Connecting a Samsung Soundbar

This is a stupid question, but I can't get my parent's soundbar connected.
I'm at their house right now and they don't have an extra HDMI cable so I'm connecting it via the AUX cable provided with the soundbar.
I connected it to the sound bar and into the back of the SHARP tv that they have where it says sound.
No sound comes out.

I assume it's a setting on the TV I'm not finding?

You choose one of the outputs shown below. Then, you have to toggle the soundbar itself to that output chosen.
