How do we feel about Mark Hudspeth as a fall back option?

Assuming shite hits the fan and we cant get a big name if Miles leaves, how would we feel about Hud? I looked at his head coaching record and he is 101-37 overall w/ North Alabama and ULL. That is pretty damn good. He would also already have all the recruiting ties in Louisiana. I think he could potentially be a future home run coach

Good luck getting LSU fans to swallow hiring a coach from one of those useless peon other state schools. Also note that Hud doesn't have any signature wins as head coach here. The almost win against Florida in 2012 was the most notable. Every year he's had some head scratching losses to teams worse than his.

Nah I'm good. If LSU has to go that far down on the list to find a replacement then LSU is screwed.

I like how the board is pretty much resigned to it.

The list for some of our fans is unrealistic. Looks to me like Hudspeth can flat coach.

I dont see the difference between Hud and mcelwain to be honest. Someone has to give a coach the big job for them to become elite

I think he has the makings of a great coach. Many would probably like to see what he can do at a smaller Power 5 before making the jump.

ULL had won 9 games only once in its history before Hud, now they have won 9 games the last 3 years. That is pretty damn impressive

McElwain was OC at Bama. Hudspeth has very little experience in the major conferences. No reason to believe he can handle it.

If you can take a program and give them the 3 best years in their entire existence right away, I think you can handle a major conference. The field is the same size

Would be a very good fall back option and probably better than some of the so called "big names".

This is how I feel. I am pretty much talking myself into being team Hud the more I think about it

Hudspeth will be in a major program in the next few years, whether its LSU or not. I don't think I would label him as a fall back option either.
Like ULL or not, the man can coach.

I think he would be very good choice. He has been very sucessful at ULL and did great job at UNA. He has SEC experience.
