If this is true and McElwain is 52 years old and retires at UF at age 67, when he leaves the streak of wins against UT will be at 25 straight.

Good hire.
However, he is now Tiger Bait.

Move over, Saban. You have lost your spot as the best coach in the SEC.

Should I be happy for Florida or sad because they didn't do very well?

Why are you laughing? That is a great hire. 8 wins followed up by 10 wins at Colorado St is very Urban 'esque

No reason to feel sad for us, think we made the right hire at the right time.

We can beat UK with an equipment manager as head coach. 28 straight, pussycat.

The Coloradoan is reporting that Florida is in final negotiations with Jim McElwain, and that the Gators are trying to negotiate McElwain’s reported $7.5 million buyout down to $3 million with the promise of a future series with one game in Fort Collins or Denver.

Congrats, Gators.

I was hoping Coach Mac would come back to Bama when Saban retired and I doubt that happens now.

As another Bama fan said in another thread, Coach Mac isn't a homerun "name" but he is definitely a home run coach.

Florida officially supplants Ole Miss for having the league's ugliest coach.

His first move should be to reach out to Muschamp for DC

Because he is a moron. McElwain might not be a big name, but he has been successful everywhere he has ever coached as far as I know
