That Seattle defense has been hot these past couple of weeks.

I can't believe there are some people who would consider not starting Jeremy Maclin for any reason at all.

Eh his playoff schedule is brutal that's why I traded him. Stills has a way better matchup

I'm pretty sure you traded him because you got Jimmy.

That said, vs. Dal week 15 and @WAS week 16 is FAR from brutal. He just laid 8-108 AT DAL.

As for this week, yes vs SEA is a tough matchup, but I don't plan on sitting the #5 WR in PPR. Not sure I would recommend it either.

Surprisingly, a lot of "experts" have Stills ranked higher.

I'm not surprised really. The site I use regularly for projections has Stills projected higher as well.

SEA hasnt played shite as far as passing offenses go. I posted this yesterday.
They are still vulnerable.

Stills does have a nice matchup. But remember, Graham didnt catch a ball last week. Saints good pound Ingram. Brees could target Colston 10+ times. You at least know 1. Philly is gonna chunk it and 2. Maclin is getting 10+ targets. He is the 5th best WR in PPR. Julio, Dez, Cobb, Hilton are all behind him in points and all would be no brainer starts vs whoever, I feel like. Maclin just doesnt get the respect for some reason.

quote:

Let's look at who they have played, passing offense wise

GB- 8th
SD- 11th
DEN- 2nd
WAS- 10th
DAL- 17th
STL- 26th
CAR- 19th
OAK- 27th
NYG- 15th
KC- 31st
ARZ- 13th
SF- 25th

They have played 2 legit pass offense- GB in W1 and DEN in W3, before both were really rolling.

Manny Sanders went for 11/129, Welker 6/60, DT88 4/31

Jordy got em for 9/83, Cobb 6/59/1

DJax 5/157/1

Dez 4/61

Kelvin 4/94

ODB 7/108, Parker 7/79/1

So they arent totally immune to giving up points to WRs. Philly is the 5th best passing O with the 3rd most pass attempts in the league. Playing at home. They throw a lot of those quick passes. IDK. I think at least 1 PHI WR has a nice day. Not sure if it's Maclin or Matthews, though.

Good post, I was just about to add another comment regarding the lack of effective passing teams SEA has played.

Dallas in week 6 was the last time they played a team that I would consider as having a passing pulse.

That was @SEA and Dallas WR/TEs put up 21 recs for 250 yards, 11.9ypc and 2 TDs.

Dont get me wrong, I am skeptical. Im not sure which I would chose if given the option. Ive been riding Maclin all season, but I am tempted to throw in Matthews ahead of him this week. I was waiting to see if any insiders threw out the possible gameplan for Philly before I made a call.

If I was sold that Maclin would get shutdown, I'd sit him. I understand if people are wary.

But I don't think the matchup is as bad as it looks on paper. Just seeing SEA #1 pass defense without digging deeper is lazy.

For the M/TV league, I have Antonio, TY, Maclin, Roddy, Vjax. I feel much more comfortable playing Maclin as 3rd WR as of today.

I do have Stills going in another league, but as a Flex2 (Antonio, TY, Gordon, Stills), but this is a non-playoff week - 15/16 playoffs.

I've had Maclin in my starting lineup since week one. And as much as I'm having trouble convincing myself to sit him, I'm likely starting Beckham over him.

Would you start Maclin over any of the following?

Beckham
DT88
Ingram
Lynch
Gronk

Standard scoring.

I'd go with Matthews.
