Attending CGD this weekend. I briefly searched for a previous topic but couldn't find any answers.

Do they check signs before you get into the area for anything "inappropriate"?

Remember the ESPN one that made it in with Penis spelling out ESPN?

They do, and to get inside the gated area, you have to be there really early. Once it's packed, they aren't letting people close enough to have signs get on TV.

I saw two methods that worked for getting in "inappropriate" signs when I went. One guy just bit a bunch of big cartoon stickers on his board. Got right past. Other people make double sided signs and glue the edges to the back of another board. It appears like a thick sign, but it's a great way to hide the gold.

Yes they do. It's easy to get around, but why would you go to CGD? It's so damn boring to attend live. Not to mention all the drinking/tailgating time that you lose.

Yea it's one of those things I want to check out once and it's the first time they have ever been to Baylor, right next to my tailgating spot as well.

Figured I would go, check it out, leave early and catch the rest of it from my tailgate spot.

BeYou, what do you think about the spot they picked?

Also, for the LSU people out there...

My GameDay sign will read "Miles to Michigan" with the M crossed out and a BR written above it.

We'll see if it gets through.

Why wouldn't that get through?

Absolutely, go to it. I was in the same boat, just wanted to see it. It was at FSU, nobody cared that we were drinking. Watched it for a bit, saw Ken Griffey Jr, had enough, and went to tailgate. Might as well go.

I know they where looking at 3 spots by the stadium and 1 on campus.

Glad they did it by the stadium. I kind of wish the stadium would be further in the background but it will do. It will be very crowded too, similar to the RG3 statue dedication.

Love it. I like the idea someone had of taking a pic of ole herbie and putting "OSU PR FIRM" above it.

They had the ESPN Radio set-up over there for the OSU game and it looked like it had the potential to be a good spot but with all that stuff ESPN puts up in the background and height of the river versus the bank elevation I'm not sure how good it will be.

The tailgate island (area across from the smaller of the two bridges) would be the best area in my opinion. You could get great shots of the stadium and surronded by boats but there just isn't the room unless they don't let people tailgate.
