Wouldnt have to pay out contract for a fired coach. They could throw big money at quality coach. That puts them up on: michigan, Neb and florida.
I dont think les leaves but still a big point.
Wonder if les will kill this rumor on national TV right Before the start of the Texas Bowl .

Yep. IMO we have one of the best jobs in the land here, I dont know why we wouldnt grab a big time Head Coach, especially with all the talent we are sitting on.

Well we didn't when we hired Miles, what makes you think we would now?

I can guarantee that no matter who we might hire now or 4-5 years down the road, fans will bitch. Because that guy still won't be Nick Saban.

You guys are so hilarious. You all act like anyone and everyone will just drop everything to go coach at LSU.

This year's options as far as coaches go, isn't very good.

Florida, Texas, UM, USC......They're just as good and could be argued as better programs than LSU (actually, Texas and USC are probably better programs) and they came away with underwhelming hires.

When Miles is gone, theres a BETTER chance than the new hiring not working out than finding the next Saban. (Because in the end, that's what all of you headhunters are looking for) Saban type results just aren't going to happen with anyone.

Gives up 60 points in games

Goes 4-8 in a weak conference last year

Sounds like the perfect guy to wish for and run off the most successful coach in school history.

All disagree with y'all

LSU is rated as a consistent 5-7 top job in college football.
Rated higher than FSU in each of the above sites.
Number 1 is either Florida or Texas.
Alabama comes in between 5-3 even though they pay 2.1 million more than the nearest competitor Oklahoma

LSU is a top 10 college job, facilities, recruiting base and budget.
if you disagree please enlighten us with the jobs you view as better.

In no order,
Alabama, LSU, Florida, Florida St, Texas, USC, Slowhio, Notre Dame,

Sure I have left one or two out, but think those are the top with Oklahoma, Michigan, Oregon, Miami types right behind.

But what superstar coach would drop what he is doing to come to LSU? Jimbo? Sure FSU is undefeated...but LSU fans would be at his throat over his inability to blow out teams....in the weaker ACC. He'll struggle like Muschamp...

Same goes for Patterson...and he's not nearly as entertaining as Les. Les is why ESPN is even interested in LSU. Without him we would get South Carolina/Missouri level of media time.
