Hypothetical for the Miles supporters: What if he leverages LSU again?

Someone posted in another thread that he is very happy with Miles, wants him to stay at LSU, and expects LSU to "sweeten the pot for him" if Michigan seriously comes calling.

My question is this: If you want Miles to stay at LSU, will you be ok with Alleva giving him another raise and extension to do it?

No I wouldnt be happy but I'm also not one obsessed with how much he makes like many are on this board considering miles has arse hats like ferentz that make almost as much as him and overrated sumlin who makes more than les who has accomplished more.

I would hope that Alleva would decline. Then Les can stay or go.

He doesn't deserve a pay increase or contract extension.

2011: 13-1 8-0
2012: 10-3 6-2
2013: 10-3 5-3
2014: 8-4 4-4
That does not justify an extension or raise. The decline is real.

No. We should not give him a raise of any kind. Call his bluff.

Considering what Freeze, Beleima, and Sumlin are making, I'd say Miles has at the very least a strong case to make

Put him on a percentage. $1 million a year, $500,000 per SEC win. Win the NC get $10 mil total.

No raise!

Sorry he needs to perform much better to make more money. If he demands more to stay then decline and let him do what he will.

Will be ignored by the posters you've intended.

No - cut his pay then tell him it goes up triple if he actually wins another National championship.

Just like any other major sport, its all about the market. His pay level will get raised as the market dictates. Not saying he deserves it, or that LSU will/has to pay it. But when guys that have accomplished way less are out-earning him, somethings going to happen.

Smartest post I've seen on this scenario.

So what would Miles do if Alleva declines to give him a raise?
