Georgia at 10? Ole Miss at 6? List is shite.

It's not a list, it's a composite of nearly all the computer polls in the country.

Still won't get you in the playoffs. Especially over FSU

I've been posting them every week even when Ohio State was out of the top 10.
But ok.

Computer polls use only the data that the games themselves provide.
Ole Miss, just for example, may not pass the "eye test" for some games but they have high computer numbers for one obvious reason:
They have 2 wins over teams that have 0 losses to anyone outside that circle of three teams.
That's computer poll gold.
I'm certainly not saying that Ole Miss should be #6 in a human poll where people consider things the computers don't. However, it's important to at least understand how computer polls work and use the different perspectives they usually provide.

How does 1 loss Ohio State (who lost to crappy Virginia Tech) and hasn't played anybody jump ahead of undefeated Florida State?

Because Florida State has played a worse schedule.
And some of these polls take into account margin of victory among other things.

Maybe the computers take into account that constantly sucking only slightly less than your opponent sucks isn't a formula to win a NC or be a top 4 team.

Well the committee is right there as well

Where's the Tuba Top 101 in the composite list?

The website actually says the are accepting other polls to draw from is TUba wanted to submit his poll they might pick it up.

Also, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame and Florida are all having crappy seasons. That's killing the Seminoles.

Most of the computers take into account margin of victory.
