Baylor beats Kansas State and TCU beats Iowa State.

That leaves Baylor, TCU, and Florida State as one loss teams... Mizzou, Ga Tech, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Alabama as two loss teams.

Now, I'm not going to ask who gets into the playoff under this scenario... I'm just going to use it as my argument that a "playoff selection committee" was a very bad idea.

There are so many permutations and rationalizations and justifications possible under that scenario that almost any outcome would be seen as flawed and/or prejudiced.

It would have been far better just to have a pre-arranged, pre-voted FORMULA for picking the participants.

My own preference for a formula would disallow any team that didn't win its conference championship.

eta: So, in my scenario, Mizzou, Ga Tech, Arizona, and Wisconsin go to the playoffs.

There are more two loss teams than that.

If all that happens the playoff will be canceled and alabama awarded the championship. I think that'll be 25.

I still don't understand why they did away with the BCS. Just use that shite and put in the top 4. A committee is a terrible idea, unless they're secretly using some computer polls to weight their ballots or something.

Oh? Why aren't you arguing for Florida State, then?

If Mizzou wins, put them in. Same goes for GT and Arizona. I'd rather see conference champions play for a title than self-entitled whiney bitches who make excuses for their losses.

I'm so tired of the excuses. If Arizona beats Oregon twice, then they should be in. Hands down. I don't want to hear shite like, "Well, Mariota buried his goldfish this week, so you can't hold that against Oregon. They are still the better team."

W's matter. Nothing else matters. Quality losses, weather, and all that other bullshite is just noise.
