I'm not sure where you're going with that little postscript. Are you implying that protecting one's wife and children from a criminal who breaks into your home is somehow un-Christian? That the Christian thing to do would be to let the criminal terrorize your children and possibly rape your wife? Is that your point? If not, what is your point?

So to you," turn the other cheek" means that a Christian should allow thieves to break into their homes and put their families at risk without doing anything about it? You should probably refrain from trying to interpret scripture.
