Do you throw away bar soap when it becomes too small?

Just a thought, but I dont think I have ever thrown a piece of soap away from the shower.

I press it onto the new one and go from there. I'd bet I have a perpetual bar of soap that is 15+ yrs old

Why not use bottled soap instead of getting soap scum all over?

I thought this was pretty much the only thing to do with old worn out bars of soap.

My crew rents a camp in Grand Isle every year and the lady who owns the house collects the used, small slivers of soap and puts them in a big mason jar.

It's Sounds weird as hell, but they kind of look like colored seashells or some gay shite like that. pretty cool i guess.

I keep it around just in case I forget to buy a new bar when I'm out. I do the same thing with deodorant that is low but not quite spent.

I guess the hairs embedded in them contribute an interesting swirling pattern.

It gets used until it breaks into small enough pieces that will fall into the drain and not be recovered. So no, I don't actually throw it away or attach it to the new bar.

I stack all of the slivers on top of each other. Eventually I get enough to make a bar of soap, that has all kinds of smells.
