Last night right after church. He was 55. He leaves behind a wife of 35 years, a 34 year old daughter, my SO for the last 10+ years, and an 18 year old daughter who just started college this fall.

There's not a single person who didn't think the world of him and he's the best man I've ever known, including my own "Dad".

He was dead before he hit the floor. He was a Notre Dame fan, being from Chicago area growing up, both daughters, AU fans. He took his two girls and I to the Samford game a cpl weeks ago because his youngest had never been to a D1 game. We had just ordered him Blackhawk v. Predator tickets as a surprise for Christmas.

There are 3 heartbroken women inside the house right now. You never know when your ticket is going to be punched.

That's tough to hear. Thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Take care of all 3 for the next couple weeks: food, errands, etc.
