What do the recruiting gurus say about our chances of landing big time defensive ends in this class? That seems to be a place where we could be thin next year.

we have a chance at Arden Key, Cece Jefferson, and Dylan Jackson.

We don't lead for any DE's in this class and I believe we go all out in 2016, which I don't agree on

Kyle phillips as well.

I actually like our D Line next year. At DT-Valentine, Godchaux, Lacoture, Trey L, Gilmore, Bain

DE-Bower, Neal, Teahuma, maybe Hunter, Clark,

Plus guys like Herron and Godchaux could slide outside and take snaps in running downs.

Key is a S Carolina commit which reminds me. IMO, the 2 SEC program verbals that seem the most shaky to me are Florida (already the top 3 verbals there have decommitted and maybe more to come) and S Carolina. I think that Spurrier's age of 69 and his poor team this year can be used against him in recruiting. I wouldn't be shocked if the guy didn't retire at the end of this season. I mean who can look at USC-East talent and say the cupboard isn't close to being bare?

If LSU sees a S Carolina commit that would fit well...by all means go after him.

I assumed that Hunter was gone to the NFL. Maybe that's wrong. If he stays, I'd feel better about our depth. But if he leaves, I'd expect some growing pains. I agree that we should be good in the middle though.

maybe I'm missing something, but why is this seeming like a far gone conclusion around here?

he didn't necessarily light it up this season, and even with a premium put on fast DE's by the NFL, he could really use more time to work on his technique...

Arden Key, Rasool Clemons, Dylan Jackson, and Kyle Phillips are the names to watch.

I think Tennessee keeps Jackson, we get Clemons if we press, Arden Key is a possibility, and I think Phillips has been the top priority and we get him.

Key and Phillips is the ideal finish and if Hunter leaves we get both. If not we get one to go with Washington

Clemons said solid to UVA after recent visit with coaching staff. You can take him off the list pretty much.

that's because we were not pushing for him until we get word on Phillips. Washington just upgrade to #205 in rivals 250 today. he is still underrated guys. thought Womack might get a bump but didn't see it.
