Is the mojo duck still an effective hunting tool?

Or does it do more harm than good considering how many of them are now in use?

Still effective, but the 5 people standing near two of them who think they can stay more or less out in the open just because they're wearing face paint kind of defeat the effectiveness.
I think the movement and flash still catches duck's attention from a distance, but they also do flare some ducks off close in because they are so overused...
I think the effects basically cancel out making them not particularly useful..I'd say at this point, they are probably more attractive to hunters than they are to ducks ...

They have their place. I'd rather hunt without them though.

My hunting partner, bless his heart, thinks that they're not only effective, but that a whole flock of them sumbitches is the way to go. Seems like they work just enough for us to keep putting them out, then pulling them all hunt long.

I hope they go the same way the paper shotgun shells went, away.

I'm very much a minimalist duck hunter, mainly because I hate dealing with all types of decoys.

Me too. I'm always the break man.
One of my buddy's dads built them a control panel that controls like 5 mojo ducks. They can start andd stop them as well as control the speed. It seemed very effective. I think a remote is the way to go, if you are going to use them.

Wonder ducks? They suck too.

Teal season, absolutely that's when you put 2-3 out. Normally after season opener for big duck its jerk rig only.

They're effective WITH a remote. Cant deny it draws ducks' attention from a distance when a call can't be heard.
