I had a prescription called in.

I called the pharmacy at 12:30 to ask them how long it would be.

"About two hours'" the woman on the phone said.

Yeah, that's pretty long, but I've had to wait other places for that long before so I never thought about calling another pharmacy since I was tending to things earlier and wouldn't be out and about for a while anyway.

I get there at 3:45, an hour and fifteen minutes AFTER they said the scrip would be ready.

"It's not ready yet, sir. Have a seat and we'll call you."

bullshite.

I voice my displeasure. The woman who was "helping" me turns to her coworker standing at the computer and repeats what I said. The woman at the computer half-glances at her (never at me) and turns her mouth up, raises one eyebrow, and shrugs carelessly.

I'm not a leaf. I don't get blown off that easily.

Despite the woman repeatedly suggesting that I have a seat, I stand there for a good 90 seconds making them feel as uncomfortable as possible, until I decide to move slightly to my right so that they can help the next customer. Yeah, I didn't want to come off as selfish, I realized that.

Still, I stood there really close and stared at all of them, trying to make them as uncomfortable as possible. I'm really good at this.

Not even another two minutes passes. A man rolls around quickly to the front, fills my scrip, takes my payment, and I'm done.

Every time I leave Walmart I feel like shite. frick this establishment. It is a soulless place where all you hear are the automatic beeps of registers.

I'm fricking done. Just warning all of you.

You get your prescription filled at Walmart? Where did you park your trailer this morning?

It used to, but then I stopped going to the one on College Drive and started making the drive out to Burbank. My life has significantly improved as a result.

I use Target for my immediate prescription needs....otherwise, we use that express scripts place that sends you your prescriptions in the mail.

The problem with Target is that their pharmacy is only open until 6. Walgreens is kind of lame but they have better hours at least.
