The guy built the first prototype I think after hurrincane andrew. It is a mudboat with a front end loader. There was a need to clean out drainage ditches quickly and cheaply, clogged with debris including downed trees after storms, that were inaccessible by land based equipment. St. Mary Parish has miles of these type of ditches.
With modifications he is able to clean out boat slips and docks that silted in along the bayous. He can scoop out just like a front end loader to a depth of 3' below the water line. The prop is fairly large and allows him to wheel wash some areas if necessary.

Saw one just like that digging out boat slips/ houses around our family's camp last summer. Water was low and a lot of people couldn't get their boats in or out.

It's used for vegetation and light earth moving. Basically a marsh front-end loader. The one I've been around has the interchangeable scoop to a cutter in order to shred water hyacinth similar to this

what's the point of shredding hyacinth? It just fills back in.

Had a guy with a boat exactly like that clean our boat slips out. Loud as a mofo, but pretty interesting to watch.
Has a huge water tank on the back to act as a ballast when the bucket is digging.

any idea on what he charges? Our deer camp needs to be back filled behind the bulkhead

Several years ago he charged $90/hour from boat ramp to boat ramp plus travel time.
He can do a lot of work in 3-5 hours.

You ever have to ride a mile or two down a canal just to hit a cut and head back up the other side of the levee?
This guy doesn't play that shite.
