December 1, 2007: Dave Wannstedt and his scrappy 4-7 Pitt Panthers squad defeated No. 2 West Virginia 13-9 in the Backyard Brawl. The win catapulted No. 7 LSU into the BCS Championship (RIP). One of the best days in LSU Football history.

7 years later, I would like to say thank you Dave Wannstedt! A piece of that crystal ball belongs to you!

Gene Chizik's Iowa State team would have lost to Oklahoma State, but Auburn had to hand Alabama a national championship by getting him from Iowa State

Ohio State was 3 (went to #1), Oklahoma upset Mizzou (was #2), Georgia was #5 and was leap-frogged on account of LSU winning the SEC Title Game, I don't recall who the last upset went to...
