The two best teams in the Big 12 are glorified Conference USA members.

Both those teams would have 3 losses each had they played in either the Pac12 or SEC. Baylor does play great defense, so they have that going for them.

Big 12 lining up to screw over Baylor.

What a joke. No balls whatsoever.

Baylor has no one to blame but iself if it gets left out of the playoff. Maybe should have scheduled someone with a pulse OoC or not been blown out by WV

Is that even legal? I mean, don't they have tie-break rules or something? How do you just decide to award a "co-champion"?

A team that gives up 58 points does not have a great defense.

Yeah well the other guy in that case gave up 61 and 24 unanswered with 11 minutes to go to lose.......and that's the team ranked ahead of us.

It depends on what the laws of the Big 12 state for these situations. IF Baylor should be crowned Big 12 champions PER the rules agreed upon by the schools of the Big 12, then Baylor can certainly blame someone else.

Yeah, like Miss State and the rest of the SEC :rolleyes
When these schedules were made 5 or 6 years ago Baylor was pretty much a bottom tier of the conference team. Going forward if Ian and Art keep scheduling like this they are nuts.

I guess there goes your argument that TCU would be the only non champion in the Playoff.

Alabama against Auburn, or Oregon against Cal, or FSU against NCST.....all played awful on defense

I hate to break this to you, but Miss State is a bottom feeder SEC team.
The legit SEC schools actually play people out of conference, and we also play a conference title game. Not your division II-style round robin.
Also, if Baylor and TCU are the two best teams in your conference and they play a bunch of directional Texas teams as their OOC opponents, you probably shouldn't talk that much shite about the best conference in football. It's unbecoming.

That's what I'm asking. I couldn't tell from the article what the actual procedure is. Does the Big 12 just get to pick who won? Could they give it to Iowa State if they wanted to?
