Phelps watched in amusement and horror as the pig began "dropping things" in the aisle while his owner stowed her belongings. When she tied him to the armrest and tried to clean up after him, he began to howl.

"She was talking to it like a person, saying it was being a jerk," he said. "I have no problems with babies, but this pig was letting out a howl."

This whole "service animal" craze has gotten out of control. How the airline allowed this is beyond me.

I honestly think all the service animals other than Seeing Eye dogs are getting out of control. If you are depressed you can get a service dog.

I don't blame her. It's the airline's fault.

I blame military people. They pushed this stupid shite on all of us and we allowed it because we didn't want to seem un-American. This was the logical end. fricking stupid. If your physical disabled, your dog is allowed. If your mentally disabled, they stay home.

Not really. She's the one taking advantage of the system.

It's the same as those dickheads that don't want to check their gigantic bags plane-side. They try to take advantage of the airline but it's the airline's job to stop someone from infringing on other people's comfort.

It is 100% out of control and people game this just like they do handicap parking tags. Fact of the matter is that companies and the government are scared to deny anyone anything for fear it will turn into a facebook/twitter nightmare or a lawsuit.

Lady had a yellow lab on a Delta flight last year with a "service dog" vest. She clearly wasn't blind. Dog was obviously not trained as it was jumping around and generally being a Lab (I love those dogs btw). She pre-boarded and had it laying in the bulkhead aisle when I got on. Dog jumped up and tried to bite me and I kicked the shite out of it. Much yelling and hollering ensued. They let her and it stay on the plane.

If this were true, flying wouldn't suck.

Smaller seats, crowded planes; the airlines absolutely do not care about your comfort.

That won't even enforce the fat people rule.
