No. Foley isn't going to float a contract offer without an agreement in place already. Neither is any AD worth a darn. You hurt your ability to negotiate if you pile up a bunch of coaches that turn you down.

This is so simple I just don't get how folks don't understand it. Agents are in the mix here too just getting their clients' raises. It's pretty standard stuff.

roadGator, You are so correct. There is a favorite story of LSU hiring a coach. Coach Sam Ritigliano had interviewed and was told he had the job. They go to Ruth Chris'with a group and are celebrating. He looks across the room at another big table of men and there is the young Steve Spurrier.Yep, they were celebrating, too. Guess who got the job??? Archer, thanks to Bill. I love that story, as it is so true.
