Every year, exact same thing. Countless NFL and college games, concerts, conventions, and other events, yet this is the only time each year one has to navigate piles of trash to park a car.

They ain't leaving that behind son. Did the city really have to force restaurants to open for this and Essence at one point?

I used to work at a restaurant in the cbd that is always packed. They shut down the whole time it's essence and bayou classic.

Was at a SEC Championship game one year (think it was when we played Tennessee). One of the people in a RV parked next to ours was a manager for the Hyatt Regency. I asked him how could he get away from work with the Bayou Classic happening this weekend?

He said we only rent out about 30% of the rooms to save on the destruction of the hotel. I was confused and asked what he meant. He said, hell, they BBQ in the bathtub of the rooms and leave everything in the bathtub.

Kind of like how every Sunday I'd have to go to campus to do work I'd have to step over piles of trash that would make the "pile" in your picture look like Martha Stewart's house.

That are always cleaned up by noon. Maybe LSU should put out more cans so the trashbags don't pile up next to the cans only to have jackarse little kids tear em up during the game.

All time racist thread is all time racist.

Why would the city clean up for white events and not clean up for black ones?

Y'all don't think white events don't leave tons of trash behind, do you?

Eta, I think it's bs the city has to clean up for either.

Or maybe people can pack-in/pack-out instead of blaming it on someone else. A progressive concept, I know, so it probably won't be received well in Baton Rouge.

Or parents can keep an eye on their kids, or just not bring them. Yet another novel concept.
