Assuming Alabama, FSU and Oregon win, that just leaves the 4th spot open. Now if Missouri beats Alabama or Arizona beats Oregon or Georgia Tech beats FSU, things get really interesting.

Comparing TCU, Baylor & Ohio State

I'm not making any assumptions as long as there are games to be played. Yes, Bama, Ducks and FSU will be favored...doesn't mean all three will win.

In a weird conspiracy theory as not having a dog in the hunt, I'd like all 6 of those teams to lose, not that it will happen. I'm thinking that would be a real push to eight teams in the playoffs.

Think about it. Conference champs, Arizona, Wisky, Mizzou, GA Tech, Baylor/TCU/KSU tie...what a pile of crap on the committee.

FSU with one loss and multiple teams with two. Probably a dream, but a fun one.

I'm really hoping TCU. The other 2 don't have a chance of even competing IMO.

Bama will get to split squad and have 2 chances to win.

I think if Baylor wins Big12, you put them in. I'd want to respect the integrity otheir head to head win over TCU.

Both 10-1 and Baylor wins the head to head yet TCU gets in? Makes sense lol.

The answer is Baylor.

Baylor
* Quality Wins - #5 TCU, #20 Oklahoma, #12 Kansas St.
* Loses - West Virginia

TCU
* #20 Oklahoma, #12 Kansas St.
* Loses - Baylor

Ohio St.
* Quality wins #10 Michigan St., #18 Minnesota, #14 Wisconsin
* Loses - Virginia Tech

The pr cement was set on this in 2011.

TCU has the "best" loss, so they go. The other two have losses to unranked teams. Head to head doesn't matter.

Bama loses...doesn't matter...they still put them in there....watch. They will just say had a bad game, still best team in country, blah blah blah.....Funny thing is Missouri would be SEC Champ and same number of losses...yet would be left out...I'd love for that to happen and the committee start trying to explain itself.

I read the CFB playoff committee is placing big emphasis on winning your conference title.

Why this is called a CFB playoff when all teams are picked by humans who get to play. I'm still for a "Real" playoff where conference winners compete for the NC. We will finally get there when the media figures out they will make more money with a real playoff.

I don't think that a team that gave up 712 yards of offense to Texas Tech deserves the 4th spot.

Serious question, why does that matter?

Bama B Squad would still be better than Ohio State.

I agree with this. Also, TCU lost on the road by 3 to BU, not really the same as losing at home to an unranked team.

Why is Minnesota a "key win" for OSU, but not for TCU?

As long as Baylor beats KState, it's gotta be Baylor. Identical record as TCU and won the head-to-head... there's no debate.

Except for the fact that they beat TCU at home by only 3 points, while losing to an inferior team, also at home.
